Midnight Latte

It's kind of a classic, I guess, how it started. Coffee shop. I was totally there to just get my usual latte and get back to studying, you know? But then he walked in. He had this... I don't know, this really warm smile. And he was reading the same book I was reading! "Midnight Library," by Matt Haig. I was completely engrossed in it. So, he asked me about it. We started talking, and it was just... easy. Like we'd known each other forever. We talked for, like, an hour, right there in the coffee shop. I totally forgot about studying. He told me his name was Josh. And we talked about everything – books, music, our families, our dreams. It was like, all of a sudden, the whole world narrowed down to just us, sitting at that little table. We exchanged numbers, obviously. And we started texting, like, non-stop. Then we went on a date. And another. And another. And, yeah, okay, it sounds cheesy, but it was like falling. Falling into something amazing and terrifying and wonderful all at the same time. He's... he's just my person. He gets me. He makes me laugh. He challenges me. He's my best friend. And it all started with a book, in a coffee shop. I mean, who would've thought? It's my favorite love story.
